Obviously I haven't posted in a while. (Bad ShellyP.) But I have been reading and commenting. So I haven't gone awol.
Everybody's talking about resolutions, goals, intentions, etc. Two of my goals are to (1) write a book; (2) purchase a Total Gym (or something similar); and (3) be more social. I think they're attainable. (Shawn, should I publicly add "take a voiceover class?")
Question for ya'll: Why is the men's shoe section of the department store so much more comfortable and cushy??

it's actually cause they're smarter than us, in that one area! lol.
i'm so over the dressy, high heels - if i was ever under it? ;-)
but i do love the look of heels and envy the girls that rock them. but for the most part, i just can't walk sufficiently in them! the last time i went out to a club, i had to wear heels, cause i didn't have anything else to match. and i couldn't walk at the end of the night.
Yes. Go public!
I have no clue why our shoe dept is more comfortable and cushy than yours. Maybe stores know we need a comfortable place to sit while we shop. Women spend more time browsing the shoe selection than we do.
let me get into trouble here by saying that the men's section can afford to be comfortable because men are intent on the task at hand...buy a black shoes....try it on....fits ok...pay for it...leave. Women's section....browse shoes...try on...not sure...look some more...try on...look again......... can you imagine if the area was comfortable?....It would be an all day process.....heheheh.... (If my wife ever read this, can we say blogger funeral)
oh wait - you mean the actual area, where you sit down and buy the shoes is more comfy? well, that doesn't make any sense, if that's the case - cause we spend way more on shoes/buy lots more and do a lot more debating and therefore trying on (getting up, sitting down) while in the store - so we deserve the comfier section!
Men are practical when it comes to shoes. They have a few pairs in a few colors. And that's it. But with us women, we have shoes of varying heel heights and colors to match our outfits. That can be expensive and the shoes can be uncomfortable, but that can spell bad news for our feet if we spend too much time in the ultra high heels. I like pretty shoes, but I sure don't wear them to work with all the walking that I do in the parking lot and up the stairs.
Because men hate to shop and their experience has to be comfortable so they'll spend some dough.
Write that book, girl.
I love love love when people want to write books. I think I'm a pretty good motivator :) I also have an online writers group if you're interested.
